Jeff Starke is a small business owner and PTA dad who believes true public service means listening to the people and putting neighborhood needs first. From Trunk-or-Treat to Jog-a-thon, it’s good neighbors like Jeff that make all the difference in our community. He brings a pragmatic approach to tackling the issues that matter most to our city. Jeff is eager to leverage his skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and innovative thinking to create positive growth in Irvine.
Jeff’s personal story is one of hard work and community service which are fundamental to the spirit of Irvine. He is committed to being a responsive and accessible representative who prioritizes the voices and concerns of District 2 residents. On the City Council, he will be an advocate for sustainable growth, traffic improvements, affordable housing, and ensuring Irvine stays safe and beautiful for our children. He’ll also bring a fresh perspective to the City Council and bring people together across partisan political divides, ensuring that City Hall is transparent and accountable to the public.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and a certificate in technology from Pace University. He lives in Portola Springs with his wife and two children, where they have called home for three years. Prior to living in Portola Springs, the Starke family lived in Cypress Village for 7 years. Their kids currently attend IUSD schools. Together, they enjoy hiking on local trails, cooking, and taking their kids to all kinds of extracurricular activities.
